Q. HOW DO THE PHYSICAL FORM AND AREA INFLUENCE THE HUMAN ACTIVITIES? EXPLAIN.
WHAT EFFECTS ARE CREATED BY THE AREA AND THE PHYSICAL FORM ON THE HUMAN ACTIVITIES OF A COUNTRY? DISCUSS.
Physical form and the area of a country influences the economic activates of the people of a country. Some countries are circular in form while other is rectangular.Germany,France and Poland are circular in physical form. In other words, no place in such countries is far from its center. On the contrary, the countries with rectangular form, some areas are very farm from the center but some are very near from to the center like Chilly. As far as physical form, some counties are scattered having broken coastal areas like Indonesia,Japan,Norway, Grees etc. The people of such countries are laborious by nature. Apart from it, the occupation of the people of these countries relates to harbours.
Some countries, as compared to other countries of the world, are 50 to 100 times large in area. For instance, Canada, China, Brazil and America are 50 to 100 times large than Holland, Srilanka and Belgium.
Area and physical form of a country play the determinant role for the human activities. The countries having circular shape have the vast, better and efficient transport system as compared to the countries which are rectangular in shape. The climate of the different countries is different and this difference makes the occupations and products different.
If a country is small in area but rich in mineral resources, it would economically be prosperous like Holland and Belgium but it is facing shortage of resources, it would be backward and poor like SriLanka and Nepal. It should, nevertheless, be kept in mind that the vast area can’t exclusively be guaranteed of economic prosperity so long it is not richly bestowed upon by the resources. For instance, Brazil is a large country in area but it is less developed as compared to America and Canada because to shortage of resources.
