In the North hemisphere of North America are central West coasts is the only fishing ground. Here there are two countries, Chili and Peru where fishing grounds are found.
The abundance of plankton, a little distance from the coasts of Peru, is the attraction for the fish because the coastal currents of Perubring the plankton here is the large quantity. The small plants and grass grown in the local waters is the food for fish. Moreover the fish food from the depth of oceanPeru, till 1938, was the small fish ground but it occupied very important place for fishing 1980. In 1972,JapansurpassedPeruin fishing and since then fishing is being diminished constantly inPeru. This is the reason thatPeruis at number 14 in fishing on the world level
Contrary to it, Chilly is persistently becoming more important and it has come on number 5 amongst the world fishing grounds. The fish caught from these coasts include Sardine, Mackerel, Mach and Tuna. Four fifth of the total fish caught from here consists on small fish called Anchovies which hardly 5 inches in length. The large part of these fish is used for fish catching.
OTHER FISH GROUNDS:
A few Northern and North Eastern countries also catch fish from their coasts in the large quantity including Thailand,India, Philippine and Indonesia. Fish is also hunted in Pakistan but quantity wise it is not important. Amongst these fishing grounds important are American lakes,West Indies,Bangladesh,New Zealand, Australia and North West Asia.
